Widely regarded as the greatest anti-war drama in literature, Spencer Theatre Company and SIU Medicine proudly present THE TROJAN WOMEN, written by Euripides in 415 BCE.
Directed by Kenny Kendall, this production brings a time less classic to life, following the fates of Troy’s iconic women: Hecuba, the fallen queen of Troy; Cassandra, the frenzied prophetess; Andromache, the grieving mother; and the infamous Helen of Troy, who pleads for her life.
Enhanced by a haunting Greek chorus that mirrors the sorrow of the fall of Troy, THE TROJAN WOMEN is a must-see for fans of mythology, classic literature, history, and visceral live theater.
